Statement: Titles of works: 1) Memory of one place The work is centered upon an obsessive theme for me – remaking the link with a lost word. I want to build a complex situation using the imaginary’s structures, where the relation with the space, with the place is decisive. I am impressed with the places loaded with an emotional memory, keeping and giving a sort of state of remembering. Shadows and prints are assaulting us from everywhere. There is a physical shape – stones, flagstones, grass, soil, but also an ethereal shape that replenishes (inundates) the place’s atmosphere. The chance of rediscovering: if life in Pompeii (Italy) was rediscovered due to the volcanic lava, which preserved it….the illusion of returning in time is made through the artistic creation. 2) Ceramic Life scenes A visual parabola of ups and down of the human condition. Masses of people climbing and descending stairs, like a short history with ironic flair where accident and chance creates an image-game.
