Before my trip to Fuping, I had a plan to work with porcelain, because the culture of porcelain comes from China. When started to work I realized that I chose to work with rugh brick clay. I was impressed with the weathered constructions of tiles. I started to build chimneys from this clay.
When visiting in countryside nearby Fuping, I saw collieries and mountains with embankments. After this, I started to do bowls from that ruff clay with the constructions I had seen. In Fuping the focus of my work has been in the surfaces that looks like made by nature and erosi
我的富平之旅之前,我有一个用瓷泥创作的计划,因为中国是瓷泥文化的发祥地。当开始创作时,我意识到我应当选用粗砖泥进行创作。风化的瓦建筑屋给我留下了深刻的印象。我开始用这种泥做烟囱。
当参观富平附近的农村时,我看到了煤矿和梯田式的大山。从这以后,我开始用这种粗陶泥做碗和我所见过的建筑物。在富平,我把作品的重点放在看起来仿佛是被大自然浸蚀过的物体表面上。
