The museum buildings are impressive. There is nothing pompous about them; the architecture is genius, playful and happy, using beautifully the locally produced bricks. For a ceramic artist it is a great experience to be able to work in a factory producing traditional Chinese roof tiles. The Chinese people are wonderful, unbelievably friendly.
博物馆的建筑给人印象深刻。没有什么华而不实的东西。建筑师很有才华，建筑物看起来也很好玩有趣，他们把当地生产的砖使用地很漂亮。对于一位陶艺家来说，能够在生产中国传统脊瓦的工厂工作，那是一次非常美好的经历。中国人非常棒，也有着像亲人般的友好。

Flowering fruit trees,
The sandy color of Chinese soil,

Starting point for my works is a container form.
It is its sculptural qualities which interest me.
Surface structure and color always play an important role in my work,
but I would have never thought one day I would be applying flowers on my works!
That is the happy influence of China.
