Earthenware clay is the material I use to make sculptures. My works are telling stories about life and culture. Inspiration comes from traditional pottery and life itself. The works made in Fuping I can call “Supporters of culture”.
For an artist it can be a beautiful clay pillow or for the composer a grand piano leg or for a poet a chair- leg or a table- leg. Behind the factory I found a broken plaster mould with a beautiful Chinese decoration which became part of a “leg” as well as a clay pilaster mould.
The terracotta soldiers inspired me to make a miniature army.
陶泥是我用来做雕塑作品的材料。我的作品讲述的是生活和文化方面的故事。我的灵感来源于传统的陶艺和生活本身。我在富平创作的作品可称之为“文化的支持者”。
对于艺术家来说，这件作品可能是一个漂亮的陶泥枕头；或者对于作曲家来说，它可能是一个美丽的钢琴腿；或者对于一位诗人来说，它是一条椅子腿或桌腿。在工厂后面，我发现了一个坏掉的带有美丽的中国装饰图案的模具，这个图案成为“腿”的一部分，还发现了一个陶泥璧柱模具。
