I started working pottery in 1970 showing a strong interest in glazing, materials for high temperature, different shades and above all I shouldn’t forget that pottery is a material you can easily manipulate. My objects are natural shapes which with the passage of the time became always more stylized. My creativity was influenced by a blind artist. From that time my production will be characterized by strong thickness, strong contrast and many different chromatic effects between color and clay which are the core of the tactile relation established with the work. On the occasion of this Chinese experience, I create vertical and revolving shapes. Earth is moving, is changing its aspects and so the visitor is requested to open his mind and his eyes towards new solutions and expectations moving my work. My inspiration was the warrior of Xian so I create different steles made of different clay and different firing which represent authority’s characters and symbols which control always and everywhere the life run tidely. 我于1970年开始陶艺创作,对上釉,高温材料和色调差异情有独钟。最重要的是,我时刻牢记陶瓷是一种易塑的材料。我的作品总是以自然的形状来表现时光消逝的过程,独具风格。 我的创造力来自一位盲人艺术家。自此以后我的作品有了自己的特点:强烈的厚重感和对比效果以及陶泥与色彩形成的色差效果,这些是与作品建立触觉关联的核心因素。 借此次在中国的机会,我创作出直立,旋转的造形。泥土是可塑的,千变万化的,所以观者需要敞开胸怀,用广阔的视野从不同的角度和期望值观察作品。 我的创作来自于西安兵马俑中的人物。我运用不同的陶泥和不同的烧制方法创作出各式石柱,石柱是权威的象征和标志。制约性无时无处不存在于权力当中,正因如此,生活才能乘浪前行。 |
