我以前从没来过中国，这次很高兴能够受邀来到富平，并参与这个令人兴奋的世界级的陶艺交流项目。来之前我看过一些图片，然而到达之后的参观经历，使我发现博物馆一切都超出我的预料。建筑和工程的规模给我留下了很深的印象，为各国陶艺家提供创作的空间并将作品放入博物馆展览的想法也非常独特。 以前我从来没有在工厂里创作过，虽然需要时间去熟悉工作程序和材料，但是能够使用新建的大窑炉和预制构件，还有陶艺创作中的无限可能都让我兴奋。我特别喜欢创作大规模的作品并且探索新的思维方法，这些将在我日后的创作中贯穿到底。
I have never been to China before and it was a great pleasure to me to be invited to come to Fuping and to participate in this exciting program of ceramic exchange on a global level. Having seen pictures before nevertheless, on my arrival, experiencing the museums first hand surpassed my expectations. The architecture and the sheer scale of the project is very impressive and the concept of providing space in a ceramic factory for ceramic artists from all over the world to produce work for the museum is unique. I have never worked in a factory before and although it took some time to get familiar with the processes and materials, being able to use the large kilns and prefabricated components opened up new and exciting possibilities for my ceramic practice. I greatly enjoyed designing large scale work and developed new ways of thinking, which will carry through to my own practice at home.
