“Having travelled from a big city it felt like a very familial experience when I arrived at Fuping Pottery Village. I received a warm reception at the airport and on arrival here. One can but be impressed by the energy of this project and its direction and the international relationships it’s helping to establish within the ceramic world. The initial tour of the factory and the museums confirmed the projects unique status in having disparate activities running alongside each other those of industrial activity and artistic practice."
